The political debut of Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, remains uncertain as the final decision rests with his father, according to Shravan Kumar, the state’s Rural Development Minister.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar missed the swearing-in ceremony of Rekha Gupta as Delhi's chief minister due to a prior engagement in Nalanda. The JD(U) was represented by other leaders including working president Sanjay Jha and Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

Speaking in Ballia, Shravan Kumar explained that whether Nishant Kumar enters politics or not will be decided solely by Nitish Kumar, highlighting Nishant's deep understanding of Bihar's political dynamics.
