German Debt Brake Reform Faces Political Roadblocks

Germany's Finance Minister Joerg Kukies has dismissed any likelihood of reforming the nation's debt brake, which restricts public borrowing, under the present governmental framework.

In an interview with Reuters, Kukies said the effort would face challenges including limited time and the unfavorable perception of altering the constitution with an outdated majority.
