In a significant political development, Delhi Minister and BJP leader Parvesh Verma declared that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, slated for release today, is set to expose the alleged corruption of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Verma emphasized that the report would unveil the AAP's extensive wrongdoings, claiming that Delhi's residents and taxpayers had been exploited.
Speaking ahead of the report's presentation, Verma stated, "The CAG report we have been eagerly waiting for is finally here. Today, we will uncover the extent of the Aam Aadmi Party's corruption. We will see just how severe it was. The people of Delhi have been looted, and taxpayers have been taken advantage of." Backing Verma's claims, Minister Ashish Sood indicated that those responsible for public fund misappropriation would be held accountable.
The BJP-led administration under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is poised to present 14 CAG reports during the Delhi Assembly's eighth session. BJP MLA Ravinder Singh Negi affirmed their readiness, stating that the investigation based on CAG findings would hold AAP accountable. Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva and Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa echoed these sentiments, anticipating a detailed disclosure of AAP's alleged financial misdeeds and corruption.
