Atishi Defends AAP Excise Policy Amid Corruption Allegations

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi took a firm stance in the Delhi Assembly, defending the erstwhile excise policy discontinued by the AAP government, attributing its failures to opposition interference.

She referenced a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report that exposed corruption under the old guidelines, asserting that the new policy was poised to increase revenue transparency if not for obstruction from officials linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Adding to her claims, Atishi accused prominent industrialist Gautam Adani of orchestrating corruption across multiple states, with allegations reaching the Biden administration in the US for further investigation. She reiterated demands for a thorough examination of these allegations to ensure accountability in the capital's excise affairs.
