In a move to ensure the seamless functioning of the upcoming budget session, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Sunday urged cooperation from both ruling and opposition parties. This call was made following an all-party meeting conducted in a cordial atmosphere.
Deliberations centered around the session's agenda and other pertinent issues. The decision regarding conducting the session on Saturday, a day after Holi, remains pending, according to Speaker Pathania. The meeting saw participation from key political figures including Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshardhan Chauhan and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur.
Pathania emphasized the importance of the opposition fulfilling its duty by raising questions of public interest, while the government should provide factual answers.
