As the two Houses of Parliament resumed discussions today, tensions rose when Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma accused the opposition of habitually obstructing proceedings. She claimed that critical issues remain unaddressed due to these disruptions. Sharma, addressing ANI, warned of similar tactics from the opposition in today's session.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma echoed these sentiments, stating that the opposition often disrupts the House instead of fostering constructive dialogue. Emphasizing the need for healthy democratic debate, he urged the opposition to engage responsibly by posing essential questions to the ruling party, who should, in turn, respond appropriately. However, he lamented that the opposition was eager for disruption.

Earlier, RSP MP NK Premachandran expressed concern about the government's role in hindering parliamentary discussions during the budget session. Talking to ANI, he underlined the urgency of debating issues like the recent US tariff hikes and the forthcoming Waqf Bill. He stressed the opposition's willingness to cooperate, provided the government enables fruitful discourse.

Additionally, Congress MP K Suresh announced plans to address significant matters affecting southern states, including the contentious delimitation process. Suresh criticized the government's approach of proceeding without consulting stakeholders from affected regions. Meanwhile, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva filed a Suspension of Business Notice to discuss how this delimitation might disrupt India's federal balance and southern representation.

In both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, multiple MPs have submitted adjournment motions on urgent issues such as security concerns in Manipur and Jammu, underfunded railway projects in Tamil Nadu, and stock market losses. These actions underscore the mounting pressure on the government to address pressing national concerns.
