On Wednesday, political tensions in Bihar intensified as Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his remarks about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Singh dismissed Yadav's comments, suggesting they were borne out of frustration and a lack of understanding of the political dynamics.

Lalan Singh emphasized that Nitish Kumar retained the Chief Minister position throughout changes in political alliances, asserting that it was only the coalition that shifted, not the governance itself. He criticized Yadav's claims about the necessity of their support, labeling them as unfounded and reflective of thwarted political ambitions.

Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav had addressed the Bihar Assembly, claiming that Nitish Kumar couldn't have become CM without their support. The session was marked by heated exchanges, with RJD MLAs staging a walkout. Former CM Rabri Devi also condemned Kumar, accusing him of disrespecting women, including herself.
