Russia's Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P Khorev, identified ISIS as the most significant threat to both Russia's national and regional security, according to a report by The Express Tribune.
In a conversation with the media outlet, Khorev mentioned that Afghanistan's attempts to control militant activities are hindered by financial constraints and existing security issues. He emphasized Russia's commitment to closely monitoring these situations and collaborating under the 'Quartet' format to combat terrorism effectively.
Additionally, Khorev highlighted Russia's alliance with regional countries through the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) to fight militancy. Addressing allegations of Pakistan supplying arms to Ukraine, Khorev dismissed such claims as unfounded, reinforcing Moscow's support for regional partners including Pakistan and Afghanistan.
