In a sharp political exchange, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday, following his remarks suggesting Akhilesh Yadav should refrain from lecturing on history. Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of focusing on past controversies rather than current pressing issues.
Speaking to reporters, Dimple Yadav remarked that examining the development work in Uttar Pradesh over the past eight years reveals the state's current status. She alleged that the BJP uses historical rhetoric to distract from significant problems like inflation and unemployment.
Responding in an interview with ANI, CM Yogi Adityanath attacked Akhilesh Yadav. He questioned the values of the Opposition in admiring figures like Jinnah, contrasting them with his party's respect for Indian cultural heroes such as Ram and Krishna. Adityanath emphasized the ideological differences, accusing the Opposition of being opportunists.
