In response to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Haryana government has suspended all leave for officials in the health and police departments. This directive, issued Thursday, stresses the importance of staff presence at their postings, with exceptions only granted by state headquarters.
Civil surgeons have been instructed that no leave applications will be approved until further notice, ensuring that personnel remain at district headquarters. Concurrently, a state police spokesperson confirmed the cancellation of police personnel leave, aligning with the new directive.
Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announced that the ban ensures the continuity and rapid response of health services. This comes after retaliatory missile strikes by Indian forces on terror targets in Pakistan following a recent attack in Pahalgam.
