On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha to commemorate the first anniversary of the BJP's inaugural government in the state. The visit will include the launch of development projects valued at over Rs 18,600 crore.

This marks Modi's sixth trip to Odisha since the BJP's administration commenced in June of last year. During his visit, he is expected to unveil a vision document outlining a roadmap for future development. The anniversary event will take place at Janata Maidan, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi assumed office on June 12, 2022.

Modi's itinerary also includes participation in a 'Triranga Yatra' and a public meeting, which anticipates a turnout of around two lakh attendees. Announcing his schedule on Thursday, Modi highlighted the pro-people measures implemented over the past year to ensure comprehensive governance. The visit will see the initiation of various projects, including Rs 2,750 crore in railway developments, and others in drinking water, health, and infrastructure sectors.
