YS Sharmila Demands Accountability from PM Modi on Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Promises

APCC president YS Sharmila has demanded answers from PM Narendra Modi regarding unfulfilled promises made during Andhra Pradesh's bifurcation. She criticized Modi for neglecting the special category status and alleged deception on the Polavaram Project and Vizag Steel Plant issues, while condemning local leaders for their continued support of Modi.

YS Sharmila, president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, has issued a direct challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding explanations for unresolved issues stemming from the Andhra Pradesh bifurcation. As Modi is set to arrive in Visakhapatnam for the International Yoga Day, Sharmila intensified her critique.

Sharmila highlighted the unaddressed Special Category Status and claims of betrayal on the Polavaram Project, alleging the Andhra state's promises were broken. Furthermore, she accused Modi of misleading the public on the Vizag Steel Plant's future, with over 4,000 workers reportedly losing their jobs.

Despite the mounting grievances, Sharmila accused regional leaders of maintaining their support for Modi, citing their negligence towards Andhra Pradesh citizens' concerns, especially as the YSRCB leader purportedly benefits from the central government's backing.
