West Bengal's Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Sobhandeb Chatterjee, criticized BJP legislators on Friday for allegedly undermining the secular nature of the Indian Constitution.
He condemned their focus on Hindutva issues and noted the TMC government's strict enforcement of law and order.
Chatterjee questioned the BJP's politically motivated celebration of Paschimbanga Divas, as the state had already recognized Poila Baisakh as West Bengal Day.
