On Saturday, Siarhei Tsikhanouski, 46, received a pardon from President Lukashenko. This development saw him driven across the border to join his wife, currently in exile in Lithuania.

The move was part of a negotiation facilitated by the United States, highlighting international involvement in the Belarusian political landscape.
