The crucial by-elections in Gujarat's Visavadar and Kadi assembly seats began on Monday with vote counting underway. The elections, held on June 19, saw a voter turnout of 57.90% in Kadi and 56.89% in Visavadar.
Contesting parties include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), each fielding strong candidates. Experts highlight BJP's challenge in Visavadar, a seat it hasn't secured since 2007.
Kadi's bypoll holds significance following the death of BJP MLA Karsan Solanki, with the seat now reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. The results could potentially shift the dynamics in Gujarat's political landscape.
