In a surprising political development, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by national convener Arvind Kejriwal, claimed victory in the recent by-polls in Gujarat and Punjab. Kejriwal stated that the election results reflect widespread dissatisfaction with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
AAP's candidate Gopal Italia emerged victorious in Visavadar, Gujarat, while Sanjeev Arora leads in the Ludhiana West assembly seat in Punjab, as per early trends. Kejriwal emphasized that this marks a rejection of both Congress and BJP by the electorate.
