The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has issued a strong ultimatum to the AAP government, demanding an end to alleged 'political vendetta.' During a core committee meeting led by Sukhbir Singh Badal, SAD highlighted grave issues - law and order decline, drug menace, and controversial land acquisition policies in Punjab.
Badal appointed Gulzar Singh Ranike as the coordinator for the Tarn Taran bypoll following the passing of AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal. SAD's grievances were driven further by party leader Daljit Singh Cheema, who reported 'Emergency-like' conditions in Punjab, blaming Arvind Kejriwal's influence from Delhi.
SAD expressed solidarity with Bikram Singh Majithia, challenging the AAP over a 'witch hunt' and disproportionate assets case. The party also backed actor Diljit Dosanjh amidst protests for hiring a Pakistani actor, urging an end to the politics of hate. SAD announced plans for public campaigns against AAP's failure to fulfill promises.
