Former premier Imran Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has emerged triumphant in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Senate elections, grabbing six out of the 11 seats on offer, according to unofficial results.

The opposition managed to secure five seats in the contest for the Upper House of Pakistan's Parliament. The voting saw all 145 provincial assembly members casting their ballots, as confirmed by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Among the seven general seats, PTI clinched four through candidates Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi, and Noorul Haq Qadri. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Niaz Ahmad, PPP's Talha Mahmood, and JUI's Atta-ul-Haq took the remaining general seats. In the women-reserved seats, Rubina Naz (PTI) and Rubina Khalid (PPP) were victorious, while PTI's Azam Swati and JUI's Dilawar Khan each secured one of two technocrat seats.
