Kamal Haasan, the actor-turned-politician, along with three other MPs from Tamil Nadu, was sworn in as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Friday. All four members took their oaths in Tamil.
Haasan, representing the MNM party, joined three DMK representatives—Rajathi, S R Sivalingam, and P Wilson—in this significant political event. Their induction symbolizes new leadership in the upper house.
The ceremony coincides with the retirement of six former members from Tamil Nadu, marking a notable transition within the Rajya Sabha.
