Tensions Flare Over Alleged Assault and Misinformation Claims in Delhi

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) presented Sajnur Parvin at a press conference, where she alleged being wrongly labeled as a Bangladeshi, tortured by fake Delhi Police personnel, and extorted. The accusation comes after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee mentioned an assault in a social media post.

Parvin described a raid on her Delhi home, where she claimed four individuals accused her family of being Bangladeshis, and subsequently tortured them. The TMC supported her claims against Delhi Police, escalating tensions between TMC and BJP political factions.

BJP MP Soumendu Adhikari lodged a complaint against CM Banerjee for alleged fact distortion. Meanwhile, Delhi Police categorically dismissed the allegations as politically driven. The case has fueled a political and social debate between the two party's leaders.
