In a fervent Lok Sabha session, BJP member Nishikant Dubey called for implementing the National Register of Citizenship in Jharkhand, citing a decline in tribal populations allegedly due to illegal immigration from Bangladesh.
During Zero Hour, Dubey highlighted that the tribal population in Jharkhand's Santhal Pargana decreased from 45 percent in 1951 to 27 percent in 2011, with fears that it might drop further by the next census.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party member Dharmendra Yadav criticized the UP government's educational policies, while Congress member Manickam Tagore raised concerns over the demolition of slum clusters in Delhi. Other members discussed threats to the Golden Temple, addiction issues, and the challenges faced by Maharashtra's onion growers due to unseasonal rains.
