Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has raised concerns about discrepancies in Bihar's draft electoral rolls. On Saturday, Yadav asserted that his name was absent and accused officials of changing his Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number.
This led to a public dispute, with BJP leaders, including Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, and the local administration providing screenshots purportedly showing Yadav's electoral details. Choudhary criticized Yadav for allegedly making false claims, implying incompetence in verifying his information online.
The controversy underscores broader issues with the electoral roll revision process, as Yadav and others point to numerous wrongful deletions of registered voters. The Election Commission faces accusations of poor management, with thousands of voters reportedly removed from the list without a clear basis.
