Jharkhand Declares State Mourning for Shibu Soren

Jharkhand is observing a three-day mourning period following the demise of former Chief Minister Shibu Soren. The influential political leader, also a Rajya Sabha MP, passed away at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi.

In response to the tragic news, the state government has closed all schools and state offices on August 4 and 5 to honor Soren's memory. Numerous private schools in the area have also declared a holiday.

The national flag will fly at half-mast across the state, with government institutions and private schools holding special prayers. All official events during this timeframe have been canceled by the administration.
