India and China have come to a fresh understanding concerning the management of their shared border, said the Chinese foreign ministry following Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s India visit. The visit marked significant diplomatic engagements in New Delhi on the 18th and 19th of August, leading to optimistic developments in bilateral relations.
Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Mao Ning reported that dialogue mechanisms in multiple domains will resume, aiming to foster mutual cooperation. Both nations emphasized their stance against unilateralism and discussed strategic collaborations against global challenges, signaling a robust partnership beyond mere border management.
Wang Yi underscored the strategic importance of India-China relations, reflecting on positive bilateral meetings in the past.
