In a heated political revelation, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has accused the erstwhile BJP administration of misusing Form 7 to orchestrate a large-scale voter deletion drive before the May 2023 Assembly elections.

Kharge's claims align with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's assertions suggesting a systematic erasure of Congress supporters' votes. The form, intended for objections or deletions on the electoral roll, was allegedly deployed to disenfranchise these voters, with notable data from Karnataka's Aland constituency emphasizing the issue.

According to allegations, a staggering 6,018 votes faced deletion attempts, of which 5,994 were falsified. As the Karnataka CID probes the matter, 18 requests for crucial electronic records from the Election Commission remain unmet, raising questions about transparency and accountability.
