Appointed last week, Karki is set to manage parliamentary elections scheduled for March 5.

Karki, the first woman to serve as interim leader and a former Supreme Court chief justice, secured Gen Z support due to her dedication to fighting corruption. She has commenced her tenure by prioritizing electoral processes and naming reform-minded ministers to her provisional cabinet.
