Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has unveiled plans for the party's election campaign, scheduled to commence on October 24. Meeting with senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, Yadav is anticipated to be declared the chief ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan alliance, as per Thursday's announcements.

In response to reports suggesting discord within Mahagathbandhan ranks, Yadav dismissed such claims, reassuring clarity by Thursday. He underscored his party's welfare agenda, including job security and benefits for Jeevika Didis and contractual workers, critiquing the NDA for merely mirroring RJD's original proposals.

The upcoming 2025 Bihar elections pit the NDA against Mahagathbandhan, comprising RJD, Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, and VIP. The NDA stands with BJP, JD(U), and allies, holding the majority in the current assembly. Voting is set for November 6 and 11, with results on November 14.
