In a tragic turn of events, a woman was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan in her rented accommodation in Jhansi on Wednesday morning. Police suspect the incident is linked to a family dispute, given that the deceased had been living separately from her husband, a prominent local political figure.

Neighbors alerted the authorities when Neelu Raikwar, aged 30, failed to emerge from her room by noon. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene shortly after and recovered her body, marking the beginning of an ongoing investigation.

Kotwali Station House Officer Rajesh Pal informed reporters that the body has been sent for autopsy, and appropriate legal action will follow any formal complaint from the family. This incident comes on the heels of Raikwar's recent visit to her in-laws' home during Diwali, where she met her two children. The precise reasons for her apparent decision remain undetermined.
