In a strategic move to demonstrate unity, the opposition INDIA bloc has named Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. This decision comes amidst attempts to resolve internal disagreements within the coalition.

Key figures from the Congress, including Ashok Gehlot and Mallikarjun Kharge, have shown their support for Yadav. The coalition has also pledged to appoint deputy chief ministers from different community sections to resonate with Bihar's diverse social fabric.

Despite the announcement, the NDA has criticized the INDIA bloc's apparent discord, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah suggested that the NDA will contest under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. The BJP remains vigilant over claims of disunity among its opponents as elections approach.
