Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, has sharply criticized Lalu Prasad for purportedly maneuvering political allies, leading to Tejashwi Yadav's selection as the INDIA bloc's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming elections. This development has sparked a new wave of political tension.

During a Thursday press conference, Choudhary labeled November 14, the day of vote counting, as a crucial juncture for Bihar's democracy, accusing the RJD of fostering a regime plagued by corruption and fear. He pointedly described the rise of Lalu Prasad's son as a 'black day' in the state's political history.

Choudhary also targeted Yadav's ambitious election promises, dismissing them as financially unfeasible. He cited figures illustrating the overwhelming fiscal demands of such policies, which he argues are beyond the state's budgetary capabilities, thus portraying the promise as misleading but also politically charged.
