The Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir has announced its decision to support National Conference candidates in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. Despite previous differences, Congress MLAs will vote for NC candidates, mirroring a recent pledge by the PDP. This move intensifies the competition for the fourth seat.

The Congress party has announced its support for the National Conference candidates in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This Thursday decision is seen as a significant strategic move.

Despite past differences, Congress MLAs have committed to voting for their alliance partners, aiming for a smooth election process. A letter from Pradesh Congress Committee chief Tariq Hamid Karra to NC president Farooq Abdullah confirmed this development.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has also pledged similar support, causing a heightened competition for the fourth Rajya Sabha seat, while the NC is expected to secure three seats comfortably.
