Gaza Strikes: Rising Toll and Fragile Ceasefire
The death toll following Israeli strikes on Gaza has risen to 81, including women and children, with many more critically injured. As Shifa Hospital grapples with the situation, Israeli forces have reinstated a ceasefire, vowing to respond to any breaches of the agreement.
The death toll in Gaza has climbed to 81 following Israeli airstrikes, according to hospital officials on Wednesday. The strikes claimed the lives of 21 additional victims, including seven women and six children.
Mohammed Abu Selmia, Shifa Hospital Director, reported that among the wounded are 20 children, with many of the 45 admitted patients in critical condition. The toll is expected to rise.
The situation unfolds as Israeli military states the ceasefire is back on, yet it maintains the right to respond to any violations. Heavy airstrikes were conducted across Gaza before the ceasefire was reinstated.
