Tamil Nadu's Fight for Voting Rights: All-Party Meet to Safeguard Democracy

In a bid to protect democracy, Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M K Stalin has called for an all-party meeting on November 2 to discuss the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The ruling DMK, supported by its allies, strongly opposes the SIR implementation, scheduled to start next month as per the Election Commission's announcement. Chief Minister Stalin has accused the BJP of attempting to disenfranchise Tamil Nadu's voters through this exercise.

With support from Kerala, Stalin reiterated the importance of voting rights as the cornerstone of democracy and urged all political parties to participate in this bipartisan effort to safeguard democratic principles.
