On Wednesday, various AHINDA organizations appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to affirm that Siddaramaiah will serve as Karnataka's Chief Minister for the entire five-year term. The groups sent letters urging immediate intervention to halt speculation regarding a potential mid-term leadership change.
AHINDA, representing minorities, backward classes, and Dalits, remains a steadfast support base for Siddaramaiah. Their demand arises amidst persistent rumors of a leadership shuffle possibly planned at the state's government halfway mark in November.
AHINDA leaders emphasized that the Congress's victory in the 2023 assembly elections, under Siddaramaiah's leadership, was due to strong support from their communities. They highlighted his administration's dedication to equality and social justice as pivotal factors for the party's success in Karnataka.
