Election Tensions Escalate: Allegations Rock Hingoli's Political Scene

In the politically charged atmosphere of Maharashtra's Hingoli district, BJP MLA Tanaji Mutkule has levelled serious allegations against Shiv Sena legislator Santosh Bangar. Just weeks before the December 2 elections for the Hingoli Municipal Council, Mutkule has accused Bangar of attempting to sway voters through monetary incentives and promises of lavish meals.

The contention comes amidst simmering tensions between allies BJP and Shinde-led Shiv Sena, who are contesting the elections separately despite being part of the state's ruling Mahayuti coalition. More than just an election issue, Mutkule's claims dig into deeper political fractures, citing a controversial switch by Bangar from the Thackeray to the Shinde camp in 2022, purportedly for Rs 50 crore.

Speaking at a rally where Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was present, Mutkule targeted Bangar for trying to consolidate power by nominating his brother for a key Municipal Council position. The BJP MLA underscored that Hingoli has benefited from substantial development under the state's leadership, suggesting the BJP as a credible option for continued progress.
