The political landscape of Tamil Nadu is set for a shift, as the Kamarajar Makkal Katchi, led by Tamilaruvi Maniyan, merges with the Tamil Maanila Congress. The formal ceremony is scheduled to take place in Erode on December 20, according to TMC president GK Vasan.
Reflecting on the merger, Vasan emphasized that this move aligns with the aspirations of the Tamil Nadu electorate, seeking good governance. The merger strengthens the AIADMK-led NDA alliance, of which TMC is a part, and paves the way for potential new alliances.
Meanwhile, Vasan addressed regional political dynamics, asserting that party leader decisions, like the shift of K A Sengottaiyan to TVK, are part of democratic strategies. On agricultural issues, he plans to highlight the plight of farmers to the prime minister, urging compensation for recent weather-related losses.
