In a strong statement on national security, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh affirmed India's unwavering stance on sovereignty and safety, highlighting that dialogue and peace are paramount, but never at the expense of its territorial integrity.
Speaking at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue, Singh emphasized that India is viewed as a reliable partner by the Indo-Pacific and Global South, thanks to its economic prowess, technological advancements, and principled foreign policy. Military reforms, including modernization and the development of new technologies, are pivotal to addressing geopolitical uncertainties and threats, he noted.
Singh also launched digitalization and green initiatives, including Project Ekam aimed at AI solutions for the military, and unveiled 'Prakshepan', a climatology app for disaster prediction. These ventures, alongside military modernization, signify India's strategic investments in resilience and regional stability.
