While Siddaramaiah has insisted on completing his five-year term as Chief Minister, Shivakumar is eyeing a rotational power-sharing agreement. Tensions heightened post November 20, marking two-and-a-half years of the Congress administration's term.
The Congress high command has intervened, demanding the leaders resolve the discord amicably. Their breakfast menu included traditional dishes such as idli, vada, sambar, chutney, and uppittu, setting a homely backdrop for intense political dialogue.
