Assam MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed's Rollercoaster Suspension Saga
Assam MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed faced a temporary suspension from the assembly for disrupting proceedings, days after a previous suspension was lifted. The initial suspension was due to alleged mistreatment of the Deputy Speaker. Despite this, the Speaker allowed Ahmed back after an appeal from party leaders.

Assam MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed, whose recent suspension had just been lifted, again found himself barred from assembly proceedings on Saturday. The temporary suspension was imposed due to Ahmed's disruption during Question Hour.
Attempting to raise a Point of Order without adhering to procedural rules, Ahmed faced intervention from Speaker Biswajit Daimary, who queried the rule under which Ahmed was proceeding. Ahmed's evasive response led to his immediate suspension.
The initial suspension earlier that week, which included Congress MLA Nurul Huda, stemmed from allegations of misconduct towards the Deputy Speaker. However, legislative leaders successfully petitioned for their reinstatement, which was granted on Friday.
