BJP Gears Up for Crucial BMC Polls with Strategic Committee

The Mumbai unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a 144-member steering committee to strategize for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. Headed by Amit Satam, the panel includes key political figures, aiming to align organizational efforts across Mumbai for the anticipated polls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's Mumbai unit has taken a proactive step towards the anticipated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections by forming a 144-member steering committee. The announcement was made on Friday, positioning the party for a strategic offensive as polls approach.

Leading the panel is Amit Satam, the city unit chief, with the committee comprising a mix of experienced political players including cabinet ministers and sitting MLAs such as Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar and prominent leaders Kirit Somaiya and Prakash Mehta. Senior party figure Gopal Shetty also joins the ranks, showcasing a concerted effort to marshal resources and expertise.

Notably, the committee will benefit from the insights of special invitees like Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal, alongside national general secretary Vinod Tawde. This coalition reinforces the party's aim to unite its ranks and execute a cohesive strategy across Mumbai's wards.
