In a recent political development, the chief of the Tamil Nadu Congress, K Selvaperunthagai, stated he was unaware of a meeting between Congress functionary Praveen Chakravarty and actor-politician Vijay. The meeting reportedly concerned alliance strategies, though Selvaperunthagai called it illogical.
The Congress party has already created a five-member team led by Girish Chodankar, tasked with negotiating seat-sharing with DMK's M K Stalin. This committee started informal discussions on December 4, aiming to secure more seats in the upcoming elections.
As the Congress-DMK discussions progress, Selvaperunthagai expressed his belief that the DMK would recognize Congress' strength and allot them an appropriate number of seats. He further dismissed speculation around the Chakravarty-Vijay meeting due to lack of media coverage.
