K A Sengottaiyan, the chief coordinator of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), revealed on Monday that the party has identified another site for its public meeting in Erode, scheduled for December 16. This decision follows the police's rejection of their initial venue request in the Pavalathampalayam area.
Sengottaiyan, a prominent figure hailing from Erode and a former AIADMK minister, expressed that he had not received any direct communication from the police or the Revenue Department regarding the venue denial. He learned about the decision through media reports.
As a precaution, Sengottaiyan submitted a petition for a new 16-acre site near the Vijayamangalam toll gate. He remains optimistic about gaining police approval. At the meeting, some former ministers are anticipated to join TVK under the leadership of party president Vijay, although Sengottaiyan declined to disclose their identities.
