Edappadi K Palaniswami, the AIADMK General Secretary, levied sharp accusations against the ruling DMK government during a council meeting on Wednesday. He alleged that corruption permeates every government department and speculated that current ministers might find a 'safe place' to avoid scrutiny before the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Citing media reports, Palaniswami claimed that widespread corruption has characterized the DMK regime, with the Enforcement Directorate reportedly identifying ministers involved in corrupt practices. He questioned the future whereabouts of these officials when elections take place next year.
Palaniswami further criticized the DMK for its history of corruption, arguing that their government prioritizes 'collection, commission, and corruption.' He cautioned that AIADMK plans to pursue legal action against corrupt DMK ministers post-election, should his party regain control of the state assembly.
