Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh has called for a comprehensive investigation into the escape of the Luthra brothers following a nightclub fire that resulted in 25 fatalities. Singh accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of potential complicity and criticized authorities for their failure to prevent the brothers' departure from India.
Speaking with news agency ANI, Singh stated, "The Luthra brothers did not flee India without assistance. An investigation must reveal whose hands facilitated their escape. Without BJP's support, their departure would have been impossible." He highlighted the distress of the public over their flight on an IndiGo flight amid a national tragedy.
The inferno occurred on December 6 at 'Birch by Romeo Lane,' claiming the lives of five tourists and 20 staff members. On the morning after the event, Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra fled to Phuket, Thailand. They are now detained at an immigration center there, pending extradition, as Goa Police bolster their case for their return.
