Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve has labeled Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as a 'miser chief minister' due to minimal farmer aid from the CM's Relief Fund. However, the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) has refuted these claims.
Danve's comments stem from a Right to Information Act reply obtained by activist Vaibhav Kokat, highlighting an apparent discrepancy. Kokat's information showed the Relief Fund received over Rs 106 crores in October but allocated only Rs 75,000 to affected farmers. Danve, questioning the government's ethics, suggested fund misuse, potentially for election purposes.
In response, the CMO clarified that only presenting figures from a single month is misleading. They confirmed that Rs 61.51 crore was disbursed from the fund over three months. Furthermore, Rs 14,000 crore from a Rs 32,000 crore package has been distributed to farmers via other departments.
