The BJP in Karnataka has intensified its criticism of the Siddaramaiah government, accusing it of being the most unpopular administration the state has ever seen. BJP MLA and Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka slammed the current term as the worst in Karnataka's history, due to its lack of public support.

Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, a BJP MLC, claimed that disputes between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar are overshadowing Karnataka's development. These internal conflicts, he argued, have led to negligence of their governing duties, despite claims from each faction expecting to maintain power throughout the term.

Responding to the criticisms, state minister HK Patil defended the government's actions, highlighting that all cabinet proposals have been approved and efforts are being made to improve Bengaluru's image. However, BJP leaders, including CN Ashwath Narayan and CT Ravi, focused on alleged electoral malpractice by Congress, revisiting historical claims of vote manipulation during India's formative years.
