The appointment came after Chaudhary filed his nomination on Saturday, where he was the only candidate in the running. His nomination papers were submitted to former Union minister Mahendra Nath Pandey and overseen by central election observer Vinod Tawde.
Notably, Chaudhary, a seven-time Lok Sabha MP from Maharajganj, is known for his close ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Belonging to the Kurmi community under the OBC category, Chaudhary brings experienced leadership to the party.
