Congress Calls for Resignations Over National Herald Case Decision

The Congress party on Wednesday called for the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This demand came after a Delhi court refused to take cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate's money laundering charge against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.
Opposition leaders condemned the perceived misuse of investigative agencies, asserting a resolve to expose 'vendetta politics' against their leadership. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the party would continue its fight against the administration both inside and outside of Parliament.
Delhi court's decision provided a significant relief to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. Special Judge Vishal Gogne found the ED's complaint legally impermissible, noting it stemmed from a private complaint rather than an FIR. The Congress views this as validation of their stance against politically motivated prosecutions.
