In a heated political drama in Karnataka, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda stands accused by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of improperly acquiring 21 acres of government land in Kolar district, initially recorded as a lake and burial ground.
The BJP is demanding his resignation and an affirmative investigation. Gowda, however, has dismissed the allegations as politically charged, asserting that the land in question is ancestral and challenging the opposition to field their accusations through proper investigative channels.
While the opposition claims document alterations facilitated the transfer, Gowda invites scrutiny from agencies like Lokayukta to verify these claims and insists the truth behind these allegations will vindicate him.
