As polling booths closed across Maharashtra's 29 municipal corporations, voter turnout reached a higher-than-expected 46-50%, according to State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare. The figure surpasses the 2017 civic polls' turnout.
SEC data reveals that by 3:30 pm, Kolhapur had the highest turnout at 50.85%, with Mumbai at 41.08%, and other major cities like Pune and Nagpur hovering around 40%.
Vote counting will commence at 10 am on Friday at 25 locations in Mumbai, with final results predicted by 4 pm, providing the final tally of this significant election event.
